Research Papers : Preparation of Porous Graphite Using Magadiite Template

Abstract

Porous graphite was prepared by elimination of the tempalte after pyrolysis of PEO (pyrolized fuel oil) with catalyst Cobalt(II)-ethylhexanoate in interlayer space of magadiite template. Pyrolysis was conducted for 3~24 h at 900~1100 ℃. Graphite was well crystallized with increased pyrolysis time and temperture. Specific surface area was 261~400 m2/g depending upon mixing ratios, pyrolysis temperature, and pyrolysis time.

Magadiite 주형에 PFO (pyrolized fuel oil)와 Cobalt(II)2-ethylhexanoate 촉매를 함께 층간 삽입, 900~1100 ℃에서 3~24 h 동안 열분해하여 층간에 흑연 박막을 형성하고 magadiite 주형을 제거함으로서 다공성 흑연을 합성하였다. 소성시간이 길어질수록, 소성온도가 높을수록 흑연의 결정화도가 향상되었다. 비표면적은 PFO의 혼합비율, 소성시간, 소성온도에 따라 261~400 m2/g의 크게 다른 값을 나타내었다
