In Vitro Degradation and Controlled Drug Release Behavior of the Polyurethane Microgels based on Poly ( caprolactone diol ) / Poly ( ethylene glycol )

Abstract

In this study, the biodegradation and the drug release behaviors of polyurethane microgels films were investigated. The biodegradability of the films in 100 unit/mL of lipase solution increased steeply with increasing the PCD contents, and by the enzymatic degradation, various micropores and cracks were developed on the surface of the films for different incubation time. The drug release behaviors of bovine serum albumin (BSA) from the PU microgel tablets were investigated, and it was determined that the release rate was increased with increasing the PEG contents and the molecular weight of PEG.

초록

본 연구에서는 폴리우레탄 마이크로겔 필름의 생분해 및 약물방출 특성을 실험하였다. 100 unit/mL의 리파아제 용액 중에서 필름의 생분해능은 PCD의 함량이 증가함에 따라 급격히 증가하였으며, 생분해 시간에 따라 필름의 표면에 효소분해에 의해 생성된 작은 세공과 크랙이 발달되었다. 마이크로겔 제제로부터 모델약물(BSA)의 방출 거동을 실험하였으며, 그 결과 PEG의 함량이 증가하거나, PEG의 분자량이 감소함에 따라 약물방출 속도가 증대되었다.
